Gary Carr Says Jack Ross Will Be Singing Some "Awesome" Songs In Downton Abbey Season 4

So I saw the above photo of actor Gary Carr who plays Jack Ross, a charismatic American jazz singer, on Downton Abbey season 4 and it got me wondering if he really plays the piano on the show & would we be hearing his voice or would he be dubbed?

I asked Gary via twitter and he let DAA know that he will be singing some "awesome songs" in the upcoming season and that it is his actual voice we will be hearing. He plays the piano and guitar for real on the show as well. No dubbing for him!

He also shared the exciting news that he has some original music coming out next year!

Here are the tweets:

Awww...and look how sweet Gary is:

This is going to be quite the musical season.

Not only do we have Gary Carr, but world renowned opera singer Dame Kiri Te Kanawa has a guest role this season and will be performing at a Crawley family party.

Other Downton actors who won't be singing on the show but do in real life are new comer Julian Ovenden, who plays aristocrat Charles Blake, he has an amazing voice, Elizabeth McGovern (Cora Crawley), is in a band called Sadie and the Hotheads, Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary), did some background vocals on the new Sadie and the Hotheads album plus she did sing in series 2 episode 4 (UK). Also, Maria Doyle Kennedy who played Mr Bates first wife, Vera, sings in real life as well.

Am I missing anybody?
