US Fans of Michelle Dockery will want to tune in to GREAT PERFORMANCES on PBS starting Friday, September 20th for The Hollow Crown.

The Hollow Crown is a new lavish series of filmed adaptations from four of Shakespeare’s most gripping history plays; Richard II, Henry IV, Part 1, Henry IV, Part 2 and Henry V. Each episode was directed by a notable British stage director and filmed on location in England between Summer 2011 and Spring 2012, they are all set in their authentic medieval period. The series received rave reviews in the UK including winning several BAFTA's.

But forget all that, really all you need to know is Michelle Dockery & Tom Hiddleston!!! But here are some more details anyway :)

Michelle stars in Henry IV, Part 1 as Kate Percy, the wife of Hotspur played by Joe Armstrong. Her part airs September 27, 9pm but you will not want to miss any of this gripping series. She also briefly appears in Part 2 as Widow Percy.

Lady Mary isn't the only Downton Abbey connection, Gareth Neame serves as an executive producer on both Downton Abbey and The Hollow Crown:

Downton Abbey Producer Gareth Neame, Executive Producer for NBCUniversal International and Managing Director of Carnival Films (a division of NBCU International) says, “This is an exciting new cycle of Shakespeare history plays, with stunning performances by a range of wonderful actors. NBCUniversal International is delighted to have been a part of bringing these ambitious productions to the screen.”

Also, Sir Richard, Iain Glen, has a brief appearance as the Earl of Warwick in Henry IV Part 2.

The Hollow Crown features some of the most pre-eminent Shakespearean actors of our time. The Kings are played by Ben Whishaw, Jeremy Irons and Tom Hiddleston respectively, supported by a phenomenal cast including Rory Kinnear, Patrick Stewart, David Suchet, David Morrissey in Richard II, Simon Russell Beale, Michelle Dockery, Julie Walters and Maxine Peake in Henry IV and John Hurt, Anton Lesser and Paterson Joseph in Henry V.
